What Is Paprika Feta Dip?
Feta is a Greek brined white cheese made from sheep’s milk or from a mixture of sheep and goat’s milk. It is soft, with small or no holes, a compact touch, few cuts, and no skin. Crumbly with a slightly grainy texture, it is formed into large blocks and aged in brine.
The popular Mediterranean cheese is often served crumbled on salads, soups and pasta. We love to whip it in a food processor with Greek yogurt to create a creamy and cheesy dip.
Paprika is a spice made from dried and ground red peppers. It is traditionally made from Capsicum annuum varietals and can be prepared as a sweet, smoked or hot spice.
Paprika is a popular spice used to season and add a red colour to rice, stews, sausages like Spanish chorizo, and dips. Some of our favourite paprika recipes include Korozott Hungarian Cottage Cheese Spread, Paprika Soup, and Paprikas Csirke Hungarian Chicken Paprikash.
Our easy dip is inspired by the fresh ingredients and vibrant flavours of Greece. The dip is whipped in a food processor to create a spread featuring sweet paprika, salty feta cheese and creamy Greek yogurt.

Recipe Tips
If it’s your first time making Paprika Feta Dip at home be sure to review our detailed step-by-step recipe below. Here are some helpful tips and tricks to get you started:
- In our recipe we suggest using a food processor or heavy duty blender like a Vitamix to ensure the dip is as creamy and smooth as possible.
- We’ve used sweet paprika in this recipe but you can substitue for smoked paprika or spicy paprika.
- We like to make a healthy dip so usually purchase 0% or 2% Greek yogurt. If you want a more decadent dip purchase full fat Greek yogurt.
- Only use fresh lemon juice as you can taste the quality difference when adding citrus concentrate to recipes. You need to use lemon zest to add additional citrus flavour to the dip so purchase one lemon at the grocery store to do the job.
- You can use regular olive oil or extra virgin olive oil in this recipe.
- We’ve used raw garlic in this recipe but you can substitute for roasted garlic if you prefer.
- If you want to add additional sweet bell pepper flavour pair the paprika in this recipe with a roasted red pepper. Simply add the roasted red pepper to the food processor and it will transform the dip into a bright red colour and add additional sweetness.
- If you want to elevate the dish before serving, why not sprinkle the dip with toasted pine nuts, chopped dill or drizzle of spicy chili oil?

Storing Dip

We do not suggest freezing this recipe as it is not a cooked product and can spoil easily when thawed. It also has a tendency to separate after thawing from frozen reducing its creamy texture.
