As a travel journalist I’ve had the opportunity to fly all over the world to visit the most luxurious hotels and I always enjoy checking in at the creme de la creme, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts.
To date I’ve visited over 30 Four Seasons properties, from scuba diving with whale sharks at Four Seasons Maldives to a North African urban escape at Four Seasons Casablanca.

Four Seasons Bangkok Restaurants
No Four Seasons Bangkok review is complete until you’ve had an opportunity to wag your finger down each of the hotel’s marvellous menus.
A true dining destination, the hotel features six restaurants and bars, led by Executive Chef Andrea Accordi – previously of the eight Michelin-starred Four Seasons Hong Kong – along with Executive Pastry Chef Andrea Bonaffini, the team includes specialist culinarians in each restaurant. Philip Bischoff, who was previously lead bartender at the landmark Manhattan Bar in Singapore, now presides over the hotel beverage program.
Visiting foodies will jaw-drop at Four Seasons Bangkok’s drool-worthy restaurants, from romantic French brasserie to unforgettable Cantonese fine dining featured in the Michelin Guide.

Riva Del Fiume Ristorante
Head Chef Enrico Maritan and his culinary team welcome guests with the aromas and flavours of locally and seasonally-inspired Italian dishes served along riverside terraces reminiscent of Lake Como.
Each recipe shows the history and innovation happening in kitchens from the north to the south of Italy, with dishes that allow seasonal ingredients to shine.

On the Riva Del Fiume Ristorante menu you’ll find a selection of crudo that takes centre stage, displaying the skill of the team and the depth of fresh ingredients.
Handcrafted pastas, freshly baked schiacciata and gourmet pizza round out the offering, bringing diners on a full sensory journey, while generous portions encourage sociable dining and sharing.
Each morning hotel guests line up at Riva Del Fiume Ristorante to indulge in a luxurious breakfast buffet at Riva Del Fiume Ristorante. Stroll through various culinary stations featuring a la minute eggs, dim sum, noodle soup, flaky pastries, yogurt parfaits, selection of cheeses and charcuterie and dozens of fresh salads.

Brasserie Palmier
Also on the riverfront, the relaxed vibe of this French Tropics-inspired café sets the tone for enjoying brasserie classics with an emphasis on fish and seafood, including a wine and oyster bar.
If the weather is breezy grab a seat on the outdoor patio at night as you can watch the twinkle of dinner cruises puttering up the river nearby.
Or skip inside and grab a seat at the eye-popping cocktail bar or elegant dining room, fittingly adorned with pretty palm trees.

Head Chef of Brasserie Palmier Nicolas Raynal is keen to highlight the refreshing side of French coastal cuisine at Brasserie Palmier.
The menu is very approachable, featuring a robust oyster selection, signature seafood towers, beautiful fish dishes, tartare variations and salads, while also offering all-time French favourites like Beef Tartare, Foie Gras Terrine, Escargot, Beef Bourguignon and Cordon Bleu.

Yu Ting Yuan
The hotel’s elegant Cantonese restaurant, Yu Ting Yuan, has earned a Michelin star for two consecutive years, making it the only Chinese restaurant in Thailand to achieve this recognition.
The One Michelin-starred restaurant presents authentic Cantonese cuisine in a high-style setting amid lush gardens and a shimmering reflection pond.

The culinary team at Yu Ting Yuan work side by side with local farmers to produce the perfect Peking duck. The project started a few years ago to source the best duck breed and the perfect balance of meat, skin and fattiness.
Beyond crispy duck skin, highlights from the Yu Ting Yuan menu include Fried Boston Lobster with Abalone Sauce and Black Truffle and Australian Mayura Platinum Wagyu Strip Loin with Black Bean and Dried Tangerine Peel.

BKK Social Club
BKK Social Club, the hotel’s destination bar, has received accolades as one of the top bars in Asia and the world, currently ranked number 14 in the world by World’s 50 Best.
Evoking the legendary glamour of Buenos Aires with a menu of bespoke craft cocktails, spirits, rare Champagnes and the finest cigars, this newcomer to Asia’s remarkable bar scene has quickly made its mark.

At the helm, innovative Beverage Manager Philip Bischoff brings his talents to the bar. Bischoff shares the artistry of mixology with bespoke cocktails that reflect the typical drinking culture of South America combined with local Thai touches.
BKK Social Club welcomes both city guests and in-house guests, with a more relaxed ambiance typically observed from 5-6pm. As the evening progresses, guests start arriving around 7pm and the atmosphere livens up until midnight. The bar tends to get busier from 9pm onwards, specially on Friday and Saturday nights.

The Lounge
Where international visitors mix with local patrons, The Lounge is the setting for impromptu get-togethers and a cozy afternoon tea.
During my visit guests could enjoy a themed afternoon tea inspired by the creativity of Bill Bensley and his exhibit, The Faroese Chronicles on display at the ART Space.

Crafted by Four Seasons Bangkok Executive Pastry Chef Andrea Bonaffini and Chef de Cuisine at The Lounge Patiwarata Chutiwat, this beautiful and artfully designed afternoon tea transports guests to various parts of the world through the rose-tinted cat-eye lenses of Bensley and the Faroese Knitting Club.
Broken into 10 chapters inspired by nine countries visited by Bensley and the Faroese Knitting Club, the menu includes 12 imaginative savoury and sweet petit fours. From the playful Body of banana passion ice cream in the shape of a statuesque backside found in Palermo, Italy, to the delicate foie gras Butterfly inspired by the French Congo, to a chocolate, hazelnut, and coffee version of the iconic cat-eye Glasses of the Faroe Islands.

Cafe Madeleine
A showcase for Executive Chef Andrea Bonaffini and his pastry team, Cafe Madeleine is a neighbourhood pastry shop and café offering both indoor-outdoor seating and takeaway options.
If you’ve got a sweet tooth a visit to Cafe Madeleine is a must! Start by ordering one of the cafe’s signature beverages like Affogato or Earl Grey Lemon Cold Brew. Then wander the enchanting pastry cases to admire edible artworks like Milles Feuilles, Bronte Pistachio Raspberry Cake, and Chiang Mai Chocolate Grand Cru!
