Oakville Massage Therapy Research

As a professional travel journalist I’ve had the opportunity to visit hundreds of the world’s best spas.

I’ve enjoyed a mind-expanding 4 hands massage in Puerto Vallarta in Mexico, traditional lomi lomi at Four Seasons Resort Hualālai in Hawaii, authentic Thai at Ritz-Carlton Phulay Bay, a Dead Sea mud bath in Israel, traditional Balinese massage at the St. Regis Bali and hammam & gommage at Four Seasons Casablanca in Morocco.

There have been periods of my life where I’ve been on press trips researching and writing an article on the best spas in a particular region. I have to pinch myself when thinking about that month I visited 15 luxury spas in Bali. What a dream! During those work assignments I’d often have a 2-3 hour massage treatment every other day. Someone’s gotta do it!

After my extensive experience learning about unique massage modalities from Bora Bora to the Maldives, I took it upon myself to go on a local adventure in search of the best Oakville massage therapy clinics and day spas.

Our guide to Oakville Spas & Massage Therapy Clinics includes practitioners who focus on science-informed techniques that cater to sports injuries as well as day spas and health clinics offering romantic couples massage and traditional massage therapy for the “hunched at the desk office worker.”

I’ve become a bonafide massage therapy nerd! So much so, that I purchased Complete Massage, an educational how-to book for those looking to master the art of massage at home.

Booking An Oakville Massage

Is it your first time seeing a registered massage therapist in Oakville? Or perhaps you’re new to the city and keen to find a talented registered massage therapist that you can see regularly?

If you’ve got health benefits at work we suggest taking advantage of Oakville massage services throughout the year, especially if you work in an office environment where you find yourself sitting for long periods of time.

We suggest dividing the massage therapy benefits you receive annually by the cost of each therapy session. That will help to determine how often you need to book your appointments throughout the year. For example, if your company covers $500 in massage therapy each year and your Oakville massage therapist charges $100 a session you can book 5 treatments annually.

We like to enjoy one massage therapy appointment each season and an additional session in December to treat ourselves to a moment of rest and relaxation before the busy holiday period.

The massage therapists in Oakville we talked to mentioned many people leave their massage appointment bookings to the end of the year. There seems to always be a rush to book registered massage therapy appointments in the Fall before Christmas. In an effort to avoid being disappointed, book your massage therapy appointments in Oakville a few weeks in advance for the busy November and December period.

The spa is located in the heart of Downtown Oakville beside Jonathan’s Restaurant. Belford shared, “Over 20 years ago I had a significant birthday. My thoughtful friends got together and sent me to a spa out of town as my gift, where I enjoyed multiple treatments, from head to toe, that were nothing short of fabulous! I did not grow up with spa services, skin care, massage or body treatments, so this was all new and wonderful to me. It was after my out of town experience, I literally had an overnight epiphany and visualized myself opening a Day Spa in the heart of my hometown, in downtown Oakville.”

Rosewater Spa features over 10 treatment rooms, including a spacious and luxurious couples space. A hand-painted representation of botanicals adorns each door and adds to the soothing atmosphere of the downtown Oakville day spa. All treatment rooms feature pre-heated massage tables, and all massage treatments are performed by a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT).

The VIP Suite, perfect for romantic couples, is spacious enough for side-by-side massages. Amenities in the suite experience include soundscaping, a private eucalyptus steam room called the Aroma Grotto, cozy fireplace, and romantic alcove, perfect for a leisurely lunch.

Weather permitting, guests can also book a massage in an outdoor courtyard. Guests also have access to locker rooms, showers and a retreat for relaxing with a cup of soothing tea. At one point I considered going to school to become a massage therapist and was even accepted into a local program. However, I was given the opportunity to jump right into opening a clinic and decided to seize that opportunity.”
