Mongrel House the Place to Party for Film Industry Who’s Who

Last year Mongrel Media, Canada’s leading independent film distributor, launched their inaugural Mongrel House program at the Toronto International Film Festival. The nightly film party was an instant success, buzzed about around town as the best place for industry to brush shoulders and network during TIFF.

For its second year the popular series returned to TIFF-town on the grounds of the Campbell House Museum on the corner of University and Queen Street. Film industry VIPs from across the globe had a ball each eve at a pretty party which entertained guests both inside and out.

This year Mongrel House featured a main stage with live music presented by Cineplex, delectable night market with artisanal food stations from Toronto’s own historical St. Lawrence Market, live-karaoke, ping-pong lounge, East Coast inspired kitchen parties presented by Alexander Keith’s, a dramatic display of  the 2017 Acura NSX paired with top notch Johnny Walker whisky, fashion gaming meets gifting by Holt Renfrew and decadent truffle stuffed chocolates by Aero.

Mongrel House is by far TIFF’s most fabulous party feature. I’ve enjoyed many an epic evening here I think in part due to the fact that guests are offered such an experiential smorgasbord. One minute I find myself gawking at Rachel McAdams and the next I’m wolfing down finger-licking-good food, paired perfectly with an endless stream of light-hearted libations. Late into the evening art installations dance under the starry sky as the world’s most captivating creatives come together to what feels like the worlds finest family BBQ.
