He used lanterns hanging in coconut trees to deceive captains into thinking they were approaching a safe harbour, leading them to sail into treacherous reefs that wrecked their ships. Pirates on shore would then row out to the stranded ships and loot their treasures.

After your treatment your therapist will encourage you to slide on your white slippers and tie up your bath robe so you can enjoy a peaceful moment of calm on a lounger by the spa pool while sipping orange water or loose leaf tea.

The resort’s all-day diing restaurant serves bountiful buffets at breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Guests wander through 5 live-action cooking stations that celebrate Mediterranean cuisine with dishes inspired by Portugal, Italy, Spain, Greece, France and Morocco.

In the morning guests line up at The Mediterranean Market to indulge in a generous breakfast buffet. Start with a foamy latte and prosecco topped mimosa then stroll through the various food stations. You’ll find a fruit, yogurt and bread station, a la minute eggs and pancakes, pastries like muffins and croissants, breakfast pizza and hot dishes like baked beans, hash browns, bacon, and sausages.
Each day the lunch and dinner offerings change so there’s something new to feast on. During our visit highlights included rice & peas, Jamaican oxtail, jerk chicken, pineapple mahi mahi, chicken quesadillas, DIY nachos, fresh sushi platters, salad bar and kid-friendly treats like fries, chicken fingers and wings.

Sam Lord’s Grill
At Sam Lord’s Grill guests can feast on elevated American dishes at this laid-back eatery open for lunch and dinner.
Enjoy a midday feast featuring a juicy burger served with creamy coleslaw, spicy Bajan Tacos, crispy Fried Chicken or Soused Shrimp Loaded Nachos.

Castle View Restaurant
The resort’s signature fine dining restaurant is located in an atmospheric location, overlooking the historic facade of Sam Lord’s Castle.
Castle View Restaurant is open daily for dinner and is the resort’s only a la carte restaurant concept, specializing in surf & turf for steak and seafood lovers.
Guests can chose to eat indoors on plush green leather benches or outside on a shaded patio. We suggest arriving to your reservation 30 minutes early so you can grab a seat at the bar to sip a glass of sparkling champagne or watch the bartender mix up craft cocktails.

Diners can select from an a la carte menu featuring starters, mains and desserts. There’s also a petite buffet that you can graze, featuring a cheese selection, crudités, salad bar and chilled seafood like shrimp cocktail, calamari and mussels.
Highlights from the Castle View Restaurant menu include Ale Onion Soup, Beetroot Tartare, Seared Jumbo Scallops, and selection of premium cuts like beef sirloin and tenderloin, lamb chops, salmon and lobster.
Suites and Diamond loyalty rewards members can book the Chef’s Table, featuring a 6 course tasting menu paired with a stellar wine selection.

Burnt Cask Rum Bar
Couples like to linger in this sophisticated space next to the hotel’s lobby for a romantic date night.
Burn Cask Rum Bar slings a wide selection of rum-based cocktails from the Caribbean and around the world. There is a large selection of exclusive rums such as VSOP, XO, 15, 20, and 30-year-old rums, Rum Agricole from Martinique, Guadeloupe, Venezuela, Mexico, Jamaica, and more.
Highlights from the Burn Cask Rum Bar craft cocktail menu include the Bajan Penicillin, Rumgroni, and Railway Car. You can also sip classics like Planters Punch, Rum Sour, and Dark & Stormy.
A selection of tapas and house-made chocolate to pair with the rums makes for a memorable sipping experience.
We suggest hopping up at the bar to enjoy a tutored rum tasting. The collection boasts approximately 300 rums, including the coveted bottle of Sublime, a rum from the Dominican Republic that sells for $125 USD per ounce.

Lantern Pool Bar
