Book A Luxurious Holiday at The Pavilions Madrid

The Pavilions Madrid is the perfect boutique hotel to book in the Spanish capital for art and design lovers. Staying here for a few days feels as though you’ve gone to sleep and woken up in a fabulous art gallery.

Masked behind a modern facade, the property is tucked away from the hustle and bustle. It’s the perfect home away from home for those looking for privacy and quiet, matched with professional and attentive service.

A few months before checking-in at the swanky 29 room hotel in Madrid I stayed at another property by The Pavilions Hotels & Resorts, a gorgeous tropical retreat in Thailand, The Pavilions Phuket Resort.

The hotel is conveniently located on a quiet street by Plaza de Colón and Paseo de la Castellana, a short 15 minute drive from the Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport.

Once filled with one or two-bedroom residential studios, the building was built in 2004 and was formerly the Hotel Amador de los Rios. After a full refurbishment by architect Marincola Architect Studio, The Pavilions Madrid launched in 2018.

The hotel is decorated in raspberry, tangerine, teal, charcoal and taupe tones with black furniture, wooden floors and wallpaper with a corrugated cardboard effect. Shelves contain books on art and local history that you might actually want to read. Curvy banquettes are upholstered in a grey print taken from drawings of historical Madrid landscapes.

Ranked as one of the best boutique hotels in Madrid, its chic interiors are inspired by the city in which it stands. In the hall you’ll find an exhibition of graphic artwork by renowned Spanish artists like Rafael Canogar and Luis Feito. There is also a marvellous sofa shaped like a sleeping black bear, which greets guests in the petite lobby upon arrival.
