Andaz Pattaya was the second Andaz resort to launch in the Asia Pacific, and the inaugural property in Thailand.
Andaz Pattaya is a tranquil oceanfront sanctuary, which sits perched over Tawanron Beach, known to locals as Sunset Beach for its magnificent views at night.
Guests arriving at Andaz Pattaya are greeted by an awe-inspiring ancient tree and reflective pond located within the aptly named Raintree Court.
The resort spreads out across a sprawling 15 acre property, located between the popular holiday hub of Jomtien and the quaint fishing village of Bang Saray in Chonburi province. It was formerly a private family estate, featuring mature gardens and towering trees, some that reach over 20 metres high.
The Andaz Pattaya property also boasts three traditional Thai houses, which have been here for over 70 years, lovingly renovated and preserved.
The resort takes the form of a series of timber Pavilions, which wrap around the mature trees preserved on the site creating an inviting village community spirit.
The timber structures are predominantly Thai redwood, which is inherently local, providing a spiritual connection with the property and its natural surroundings. Composed layering of rattan and woven materials are infused into the building as key interior components, adding a colourful sense of place.
