Afternoon Tea at The Park Hyatt Toronto

It was a drizzly Friday afternoon in early May when I found myself marching through Yorkville bound for The Park Hyatt Hotel’s Afternoon Tea. I last visited the property on a sunny summer afternoon to sample their cocktails and bar bites on their Roof Lounge.

Afternoon Tea at the Hyatt is served at the hotel’s elegant Annona Restaurant which offers perfect people watching opportunities overlooking Avenue Road. We tucked ourselves in to a white linen draped table and spent the next two hours catching up over my favourite snacking ritual. We opted for their Sparkling Tea which started us off with two flutes of Santa Margherita Prosecco featuring a glass of fresh strawberries. A lovely floral evanescence.

The culinary team here offers seasonal tea menus which are updated throughout the year to reflect what’s fresh and local. Scrumptious offerings in the dainty sandwich, sweet tea pastry and scone categories were a delight. Lift your pinky finger, sip slowly and relax. A perfect therapy to ready yourself for the weekend as the pitter patter of rain drums itself across the sidewalks of the city.
