Captain Cole Bar at The St Regis in Nusa Dua
Captain Cole Bar at The St Regis offers a refined ambience transformed by the flicker of candle light accompanied by a live pianist and swoon-worthy jazz singer. Hop up on a barstool for a quick education on the history of the Bloody Mary, “In 1934, bartender Fernand Petiot arrived at The St. Regis New York, bringing with him the recipe for a unique vodka and tomato juice cocktail that he perfected at the King Cole Bar. Ferdinand’s spicy concoction, the Bloody Mary, remains the signature cocktail of St.Regis.”
St. Regis guests across the globe can enjoy Fernad’s invention in a multitude of regional manifestations, each with its own captivating story. The talented mixologists at St. Regis Bali Resort shake up the Bali Mary, a twist on the original Bloody Mary utilizing local Jicama, a traditional favourite fruit in Indonesia, and refreshing cucumber.
Il Bar at The Bulgari Resort in Uluwatu
Head to The Bulgari Resort’s Il Bar an hour before sunset and enjoy a sophisticated vibe as blue skies transform into pink, orange and purple. The bar’s ellipse arch counter offers a tip of the hat to Bulgari Hotel in Milan, while a massive stone, entirely chiselled by nature, has been turned into a sculptural centrepiece. The mixology program here is top drawer, featuring a choir of craft cocktails inspired by local tropical fruits and selection of classic Italian thirst quenchers such as the Amalfi Coast’s fave, Aperol Spritz.
Sundara at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay
If you’re a tan fan looking to laze the day away head to Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay’s 57-metre infinity pool which sits perched over the beach.
