Book A Luxurious Holiday at InterContinental Bangkok Sukhumvit

InterContinental Bangkok Sukhumvit Hotel first opened its doors in December 2023, making it one of the city’s newest luxury hotels by IHG.

The recently launched Intercontinental Hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Bangkok’s trendy Sukhumvit neighbourhood, a short walk from BTS Thong Lor Station. The must-visit neighbourhood boasts some of the city’s best bars, Michelin restaurants, and high-end shopping malls.

The interior design of InterContinental Bangkok Sukhumvit is inspired by a desire to blend traditional Thai aesthetics with modern elements.

Sculptures and wall panels found throughout the hotel are inspired by various elements of Thai culture. A handwoven copper wall panel is influenced by the elegance of silk and features patterns reminiscent of Thai craftsmanship. Another sculpture, Water Drop on Nelumbo, takes its inspiration from the water drop shape of a lotus leaf, symbolizing luck and respect.

Rogues

Rogues is the hotel’s must-visit bar, serving shaken or stirred craft cocktails best enjoyed on Thursday, Friday or Saturday when local jazz band entertains with moody vocals, piano and saxophone.

Hop up at the bar and you’ll find an impressive lengthy menu featuring top shelf whiskies, cognac, mezcal, gin, rum, vodka, as well as local and imported beers and fine wines from France, Italy and Australia.

If you’re feeling peckish we recommend starting with a few nibbles at the bar. The short but sweet menu includes dishes perfect for sharing with friends like Truffle Fries, Aburi Salmon Tataki, Tom Yum Chicken Wings and generous Charcuterie & Cheese Board.

We love the playfully named craft cocktails at Rogues, from the Samurai Angel (cognac, mezcal, vermouth, matcha tea, chocolate) to Salute The World (vodka, truffle, gin, lillet, absinth and grapefruit liqueur).

Tea lovers can indulge in offerings from international brand TWG and a local brand called CHAR Flower, which provides an exclusive blend for the hotel called Thonglor Blend.

The cafe is famous for its unique Thai-Japanese inspired beverages, including bespoke Japanese green tea and Thai tea cocktails, as well as innovative comfort bites that fuse the flavours of both cuisines.

Highlights from The Lobby menu include Sourdough Croissants, matcha-filled Caneles, selection of gelato, fresh salads, and gourmet sandwiches. During cocktail hour you’ll find classic tipples like the Negroni, Daiquiri, Mojito, and Old Fashioned.

Afternoon Tea at InterContinental Sukhumvit in Bangkok.

At midday guests can embark on a culinary journey around the globe by indulging in Afternoon Tea. During our visit in November the hotel had just recently launched a holiday-themed tea service. Classic scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam were paired with festive sweets and savouries like Turkey Stuffing Sandwich, Brie Cranberry Crackers, Matcha Cream Christmas Tree, and Raspberry Mousse Santa Hat.

We also suggest visiting The Lobby between 5-7pm to take advantage of Happy Hour where you can buy 1 get 1 free on locals beers, wines and classic cocktails.
