If you’re looking to romance yourself on a weekend away in Poland’s cultural capital situate yourself in the heart of the city at the newly renovated Sheraton Grand Krakow. Downstairs at Qube Vodka Bar hop up on a stool and chat with the resident bartender about Poland’s much loved spirit. The hotel’s sun-soaked lobby bar is the perfect place to sip through a parade of local vodka’s, served ice cold in a chilled shot glass. Also be sure to sample from the choir of traditional Polish liqueurs, sweetened with the likes of cherry, quince, walnut, and lemon.
In the evening skip on over to The Olive Restaurant and you’ll find an elegant sky-high dining room serving a combination of Mediterranean and Polish faves. Located in a design-tastic glass-roof atrium, the Sheraton Grand Krakow offers year-round courtyard dining each evening featuring entertainment by a classical pianist. Executive Chef Jacek Filpczyk was recently honoured with the award of best restaurant and best menu at Krakow’s popular Fine Dining Week festival in 2017, so be sure to sample through his contemporary takes on pierogi, creamy mushroom soup, and roast duck with braised cabbage, pears and handmade noodles.
