Travel to Provincetown, Cape Cod

Provincetown is a wee community located at the extreme tip of Cape Cod in Barnstable County, Massachusetts. Sometimes called “P-town”,the town is known for its beaches, harbor, artists, tourist industry, and its reputation as a gay village. The towns zip code has the highest concentration of same-sex couple households of any zip code in the United States.

The trip is a short (and beautiful) ferry ride from Boston Harbor. I was excited to spend a few days lying on the beach, watching some gay theater and meeting some new friends. I stayed at the only budget hotel in the area where I met the ever so lovely Greggy (from LA who was in P-Town for the summer working on a musical and now lives in NYC). We became best of friends spending our days on the beach, eating whatever we could find (including the areas famous salt water taffy). I was also elated to meet up with Katie Fahey who lived a few miles down the road. In the gayest village in America it was nice to spend the last evening in P-Town with her local friends at the only straight friendly bar in town!
