The Lind Hotel in Boracay

Setting out to become a bastion of the au currant and the classic, The Lind brings a unique blend of cutting edge design and Filipino hospitality to the island of Boracay. This beachfront property is not so much a retreat as it is a lifestyle locale. With 119 rooms and suites, lush greenery, sprawling swimming pools, a world class spa, and trendy bars and restaurants, guests of The Lind can experience every indulgence and luxury in coastal living without ever leaving the hotel.

With interiors by Manny Samson and Associates, The Lind Boracay carries a daring boutique aesthetic across the sprawling property. Stylish but with a touch of quirk, the specially designed furnishings and accents that fill each space are peppered with unexpected uses of pattern, colour and texture. Each nook and cranny has pieces unique to their corner, yet it all fits together and flows deliberately, from room to room, from indoor to outdoor.

The Lind is located at the end of White Beach’s Station 1 and since it sits perched over the beach we decided to arrive on the sand, splashing our feet through the warm lap of ocean water just as the sunset smiled across the horizon. Upon arrival we immediately hopped on an elevator to The Lind’s lobby and enjoyed a jaw dropping view of the boutique hotel’s glowing pool, adorned with breezy palms and a postcard perfect pink and purple night sky.

A designer’s paradise stands adjacent to the lobby. Named after the area code of Boracay, +36 is topped by an overlooking view of the entirety of the resort and offers a refined array of wines, beer and creative craft cocktails.

The space feels like a chic living room, a home away from home for those looking to sip sweetly while nibbling through a fine feast. Highlights from our dinner at The Lind include spicy Larb Gai salad, pretty prawn topped Tom Yum soup, a sizzling Mixed Satay platter slathered in peanut sauce and a hearty coconut-braised beef short rib Rendang.
