I was given this round of Rose Haus when I visited Fifth Town Cheese on my Prince Edward County FORD Foodie Road Trip.
100% cow’s milk sourced from LFP certified Prince Edward County (Quinte Crest). Rich creamy texture with golden-bronze rind washed in Grange barrel fermented chardonnay. Pleasant slightly salty tang on the rind with long, earthy noes in the paste. Creamy rich flavours with a mushroom accent and a long finish, paste oozes when ripe, firm when young with less earthy flavours and restrained lactic characteristics.
