Afternoon Tea at The Ritz Carlton Hotel Toronto

The sun blasted itself across Toronto as I peddled down Yonge Street bound for The Ritz Carlton Hotel Toronto. After whisking my way through the revolving front doors I was greeted by a wild and wonderful group of party goers who wore big smiles and flashy Caribana costumes. North America’s largest Caribbean Festival and Parade would be taking place that day and it seemed as though the entire city was on board for The Islands.

As for myself, I was more in the mood to sit down, relax, sip a bit of bubbly and nibble my way through High Tea service with my good friend Heather Travis from Heather in Heels. Afternoon Tea at The Ritz Carlton Hotel Toronto is offered up at the hotel’s DEQ Lounge which spills out onto a spacious sun drenched patio overlooking Simcoe Park.

Over the course of the next two hours Heather and I chit chatted through the Ritz Blush Tea which features flutes filled with bubbling Henry of Pelham Cuvee Catharine Rose Brut. After a quick clink of our glasses we dove into a pretty display of savouries. We each selected our very own organic loose leaf tea which were poured into dainty cups at the corner of our table. The grand finale featured an ornate display of pastries which would make any Mr or Mrs. Sweet Tooth squeal into a blissful midday food comma.
