Toronto’s Copetin Offers a Slice of Asia and Italy at Lunch

Last August Chef Claudio Aprile transformed his popular Origin Restaurant at the corner of Church and King Street into a new space he affectionately called Copetin. The much-anticipated reimagined restaurant was inspired by Toronto’s various neighbourhoods, cultures and food personalities, offering three distinct spaces: a jaw-dropping bar, cantina concept on the spacious patio, and fine dinning room.

Copetin recently launched midday service, offering an eclectic yet thoughtful menu offering a perfect perch for hungry residents in the community as well as nearby business folks looking to impress clients at a mid-week power lunch.

Served from 12pm to 2pm Monday to Friday, lunch at Copetin features a marvellous muddling of Italian and Asian textures and flavours. Highlights include lime spritzed Shrimp Thai Bowl, a squeaking bowl of Korean Bibimbap, Chef Aprile’s signature Ricotta Gnudi paired with butternut squash, fragrant sage and sweet grapes, and a hearty plate of venison ragu tossed Rigatoni.

Those looking for a great deal can also take advantage of the restaurants Prix Fixe ($29 for three courses) which switches up daily based on what inspires Chef Aprile at that very moment.
