How To Make A Green Beast Cocktail
The Green Beast cocktail was created in France, by Charles Vexenat, a renowned bartender known for his inventive work with absinthe. Vexenat first muddled a Green Beast at L’Absinthe Bar at the Nouvel Hôtel de Ville in Paris in the early 2000s.
Paris has a deep historical connection with absinthe, famously consumed by artists and writers during the Belle Époque. Vexenat wanted to create a modern, refreshing absinthe drink that balanced strong herbal notes with simplicity and approachability.
The result – The Green Beast — a craft cocktail that’s essentially a minimalist absinthe punch: light, cool, and citrusy with cucumber for flair and crunch.
The green hued drink is the perfect drink for summer sipping or as an absinthe punch at a garden party.
