One of Toronto’s most notorious bars is located on Spadina Avenue at Richmond Street. Wide Open is a bit of a joke as the bar is anything but. This small alley sized hole in the wall spends zero money on its decor and all its cheer on your cheap beer. Any other bar in the city may find it hard to surpass Wide Open’s dirt cheap prices. There are drink specials throughout the week. Monday’s are 1/2 price drink night. I went on a Friday with some friends to enjoy after work drinks. The special was 12 dollar pitchers of Amsterdam Big Wheel. Wide Open is not where you take someone on a first date but it is most certainly where you go to start the party.
