A new patio space has launched in the King West neighbourhood just in time for summer. EFS Toronto, short for Everything for Sale is a 3,000 sq ft rooftop patio offering cabana-style bar and lounge with a focus on crafty cocktails and hookah. I arrived on a Friday afternoon at 5pm just before one of Toronto’s infamous July thunderstorms.
A massive vertical green garden shoots up into the sky from behind the bar and features hundreds of lightbulbs which appear as though they are sprouting out of the wall. Surely a stunning scene for the late night crowd as the space glows and cocktails clash for the after work “cheers” party.
I enjoyed a few refreshing glasses of white sangria featuring a potpourri of floating fruits. The King West restaurants menu is short and sweet so come here for the drinks but satisfy yourself with a few bites if your stomach starts growling. The menu is BBQ and salad centric which very much suits the hot hot heat patio setting. EFS is a perfect spot to sip and nibble this summer so grab a bratwurst or burger and find yourself a few friends to enjoy cocktails under the stars.
