Book A Luxurious Holiday at Spice Island Beach Resort

Spice Island Beach Resort is a local family-owned luxury hotel that sprawls across 8 acres along Grenada’s idyllic Grand Anse Beach.

Located a short 15 minute drive north of Maurice Bishop International Airport, the resort is ideally located on the southern end of the island, a stones throw from many of Grenada’s most popular tourist attractions.

Ranked as one of the best luxury hotels in Grenada, Spice Island Beach Resort, was originally built in 1961 as the Spice Island Inn.

In 2000, the property underwent a 6-million-dollar transformation, and the Spice Island Beach Resort was born. Ten rooms were added and additional amenities were built like the spa and restaurants. Today, the resort boasts 64 luxury suites, 17 of which have their own enclosed plunge pools.

With its own intimate sense of place, the romantic resort provides more than a change of scenery, artfully blending elite all-inclusivity with an island lifestyle to curate an unpretentious and exquisite luxury experience.

Relaxed, yet not completely casual (there are dress codes one needs to pay attention to), the resort fuses the Caribbean’s chilled out vibe with exceptional service, local cuisine, and unique experiences that incorporate authentic Grenadian culture.

Checking In At Spice Island Beach Resort in Grenada

Spice Island Beach Resort guests can arrive to Grenada in style by booking luxury airport transfers provided by a handsome Bentley.

Upon arrival to the resort guests are greeted by smiling Bellmen, who escorts you to a breezy reception area. Skip through an impressive courtyard crawling with eye-popping bougainvillea to find an open concept lobby, where the waves are but a stones throw away.

Once seated you’re offered a signature welcome cocktail (sparkling wine muddled with local sorrel) and chilled oshibori towel service. Once refreshed with your room keys in hand, you’ll be escorted to your room by reception staff who offer a helpful orientation of the resort property.

The resort’s designer, Kobi Karp, had a vision for the property to create a natural outdoor/indoor connection, ensuring that the hotel blends into its lush tropical environment using muted colour palettes, intricate tiling, the use of plants and contemporary furnishings.

Over the years the hotel has welcomed several members of the English Royal family. There is a photo archive of their visits on property, which is very popular with British guests and fans of The Crown. Prince Harry shared a picture of his visit at the resort on social media, standing in front of a pool villa placard that reads “Royal Ginger.”
