When someone asks me where the best place to eat Mexican food in Toronto is I always respond with a long winded answer. If you are looking for a cheap eats experience El Trompo in Kensington Market serves up the best classic Mexican Street Food. Milagro is the place you want to be if you are looking for a fine dining experience with an articulated vibe and menu that emphasizes regional Mexican specialties.
My father was in town for a medical conference and decided to take me out for dinner before I flew away to Latin America for the month of December. I made my reservation via twitter and received exemplary service from all of the restaurants enthusiastic staff. At the end of our dinner the manager graced our table with an offer of $18 a glass tequila and a fantastic Mexican dessert. Sweet drunk finish.
