Ingredients

  • 4 Egg Whites
  • 1 cup White Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Cabernet Sauvignon
  • 1/2 cup Walnuts chopped

Instructions

  • Heat the water in a double boiler to a slow simmer.
  • In the bowl mix the egg whites, sugar and wine. With a handheld mixer, beat slowly until the sugar dissolves.
  • Turn the speed to high and beat until a glossy meringue with hard peaks develops, about 8 minutes.
  • Carefully remove the bowl from the pot and keep beating the meringue at high speeds until it cools down.
  • Add the walnuts on top before serving.
