Fresh Gin Sage Cocktail

Ingredients

Lemon Sage Syrup

  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 cup White Sugar
  • 1 Lemon juice and zest
  • 8 Fresh Sage Leaves

Gin Sage Cocktail

  • 1/2 cup Gin
  • 3 tbsp Lemon Sage Syrup
  • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • Lemon Test + Sage Leaf garnish

Instructions

  • Combine the water and sugar in a small pot and bring to a simmer. Cook until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  • Add the lemon juice, zest, and sage leaves and simmer for 2 minutes.
  • Remove the pot from the heat and allow the zest and sage to steep in the syrup until it cools to room temperature.
  • Strain out the zest and sage and store the cooled syrup in the fridge until ready to use.
  • To a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add the gin, lemon sage syrup, and lemon juice. Shake for 30 seconds to thoroughly mix and chill the ingredients.
  • Pour the mixture into the two glasses and garnish each with a lemon twist and sage leaf.
