Jasmine Lorimer Goes on the Ultimate Date in Toronto with Hyundai Ioniq

In September I hopped in Hyundai’s new Ioniq Hybrid and took it for a spin to visit a slice of the city I’d not yet had the opportunity to explore. I romanced a few friends in search of Scarborough’s best bets which featured a stroll along the scenic Bluff’s, beer sips on the pretty patio of a craft brewery, a hilarious stroll through Toronto Zoo, and forked our way through a handful of the neighbourhood’s most popular community kitchens.

Jasmine Lorimer recently enjoyed her own ride in the Hyundai Ioniq. Three lucky gents took Canada’s reality TV starlet out to test each other on similar qualities they look for when car shopping and dating – trust, personality and a sense of adventure. Watch as they take part in an adorable puppy obedience class at Evergreen Brickworks, enjoy a hilarious DIY blindfolded painting session with the IONIQ, and zip through an obstacle course tutorial with the help of a pro driver at Polson Pier, overlooking Lake Ontario.

From now until March 18, Hyundai is hosting a contest for Canadians to win a date of their own in the Ioniq. One winner will be selected every month for six months and will enjoy an evening chauffeured in the Ioniq and $200 to spend on a night on the town. The contest will be promoted over Tinder so next time you’re searching for Mr. or Mrs. Right, be sure to swipe right when you see the Hyundai profile card pop up on your app…or hop online and enter to win your own Hyundai Ultimate Date.

The Ioniq is the world’s first vehicle to feature three electrified powertrain options: hybrid, rechargeable plug-in hybrid, and battery electric. It is easy to decide which Ioniq best compliments your lifestyle; it just depends on how often you drive and your driving style. Whichever option you fall head over heels for, every Ioniq is engineered and designed to deliver a rewarding and engaging drive to suit your lifestyle.

I typically use a car when I’m on a road trip, driving long distances each day so the hybrid works best for me. For those of you who tend to drive closer to home and are interested in fully electric vehicles, you’re in luck! Hyundai has a battery electric Ioniq, allowing drivers to easily charge at home or work and drive up to 200 kilometres. Imagine never having to stop (or pay!) for gas again! Or, there’s the best of both worlds, a rechargeable plug-in hybrid that drives over 40 km emissions-free before switching to hybrid mode to take you the rest of the way. Check out the Hyundai Ioniq website to learn more about the three electrified powertrains.
