Toronto Sushi Fans Line Up at KaKa All You Can Eat

This past Spring I drove north of Toronto and spent a delicious weekend enjoying the ultimate foodie tour of Markham. One of my most memorable stops was at a wildly popular AYCE sushi restaurant located at First Markham Place. I was greeted at KaKA All You Can Eat by a long line of locals patiently waiting for a free table (the best sign that your meal is going to be memorable).

The popular AYCE sushi restaurant concept recently opened up its first downtown location at Bay and Elm Street. The menu at KaKa is known for its contemporary take on sushi, being credited for bringing blowtorched sushi to the forefront of the All You Can Eat scene.

At Kaka’s downtown Toronto flagship you’ll find an open concept kitchen where smiling chefs slice serious sushi, craft cocktails muddled at a geisha mural-splashed bar, bustling sun-soaked dining room, and pretty 30-seat patio.

Once seated run your finger down KaKa’s extensive AYCE menu and you’ll find classics such as Green Dragon Rolls, Ahi Tuna Tataki, and Shrimp Tempura…though the main draw is the kitchen’s creative culinary offerings such as Fish Tacos with buttermilk spicy crema, Salmon Aburi Nigiri topped with spicy Serrano pepper, and Sweet Lemongrass Pork Loin. Quench your thirst while pausing from your chopstick chow-down by enjoying sips and slurps of KaKa’s signature Dreamy Sangria and bottles of Japan’s own Sapporo.

KaKa’s premium AYCE menu is $34.99 for adults, $30.99 for seniors, and $16.99 for 4-12 year olds.
