This summer King Taps breathed new life into the Vertical space at First Canadian Place, which once offered some of the city’s finest Italian. The new double decker craft beer bar is packed on weeknights, filled with suits and skirts keen to enjoy a sud-sloshed bacchanal.
King Taps is brought to you by the West Coast culinary creators of Cactus Club. The 450 seat space offers over 50 local craft and international beers on tap while a two-story patio that accommodates 140 of those looking to enjoy an al fresco sip and nibble.
If you’re feeling peckish, the kitchen offers a selection of dishes designed to satiate your comfort food cravings. The cooks have found strength in their pizza parade, producing pies with a perfectly crispy crust which once crunched into offer a satisfyingly soft chew. Highlights from the King Taps menu include spicy Korean Fried Chicken, a trilogy of tacos, crispy bacon and roasted pineapple topped Kona pizza, a decadent 12oz striploin adorned with roasted mushrooms, and a celebratory Rocky Road Sundae finished with a twirl of toasted marshmallow.
