Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu: Luxury Hotel in Charlevoix

For more than 115 years, Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu has dazzled visitors who come to the castle-inspired hotel perched over the mighty St. Lawrence River to explore the beauty and bounty of Charlevoix.

Located in the quaint town of La Malbaie, Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu offers year round outdoor activities for those looking to get up close and personal with Mother Nature as well as a slew of decadent indulgences.

Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu

The hotel first opened its doors in 1899, built for the Richelieu and Ontario Navigation Company by architect Edward Maxwell. A devastating fire in 1928 completely destroyed the hotel, with the present day property opening just 8 months later after an intense reconstruction.

Stroll through the property and you’ll immediately find yourself swept up in Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu’s romantic history. It’s easy to see how this grandiose palace inspired visitors over 100 years ago who arrived by steamship or choo-choo train.

Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu has played home to horse stables ever since it opened its doors. With the addition of nine new holes, this 6,000 metre, 27-hole course offers jaw-dropping views of the St. Lawrence River and the surrounding Charlevoix postcard-perfect landscape.
