Toronto’s Who’s Who Count Down to TIFF at NKPR’s Annual Fête

PR powerhouse Natasha Koifman hosted her seventh annual festival countdown Wednesday evening to celebrate the start of film festival season. Toronto influencers and media impresarios gathered at Koifman’s swanky Toronto abode to hob nob before the whirlwind of TIFF insanity.

The first glass broke at 8:31pm as a red-faced beauty (which I’ll leave unnamed) discretely wiped tequila and muddled mint off her distressed denim jeggings. Opa! At this point the party was in full swing.

Koifman held court dressed in Attico (styled by Steven Baughan) delicately sipping on Flow Water while chit chatting with the media elite. The guest list never disappoints; Yannick Bisson, Lisa Tant, Caitlin Cronenberg, Suzanne Boyd (to name a few) all mix and mingled beside Koifman’s pool carefully distancing themselves from the edge to avoid a disastrous splash.

Fefe Dobson looked on in awe as SUP paddle board yogis gracefully glided through the lagoon. Daytime diva Traci Melchor was the first to get her feet wet while sipping on Fleur Du Cap wine, while Suzanne Boyd effortlessly played the role of fashion oracle as she glided around the patio in creamy hues.

Mid way through the evening silver platters of McDonald’s French fries and cheeseburgers circulated the crowd that had even the most jaded fashionistas giggling like schoolgirls.

Those looking to satisfy their sweet tooth peered in awe at the fireside treats table that included a DIY s’mores station featuring marshmallows as big as their Gucci clutches. Greco of “The Real Housewives of Toronto” fame gleefully photographed her friend’s epic smores creation as others snatched gratuitously covered chocolate pretzels.

As the evening came to an end, stylish PR girls discretely stuffed junior McChicken sandwiches into their purses for their Uber ride home. My date and I quickly made our way into Koifman’s pristine white kitchen to ogle over what was left of the take home treats. The epic sized fortune cookies by Over The Moon Bake Shop were clearly the winner of the evening; one tipsy socialite mused, “it’s a fortune cookie on crack” as she snatched up the last few cookies for her and her friend.
