A Three Michelin Star Feast at The Langham Hong Kong’s T’ang Court

As the five-star hotel of choice located at the most fashionable address of Tsim Sha Tsui, The Langham Hong Kong offers an elegant residential experience with luxury detailing. Discerning guests are welcomed to the hotel’s posh lobby with a smile thanks to twinkling chandeliers, swoon-worthy silk drapes and pretty plucking from Langham’s resident harpist.

The Langham’s T’ang Court is a must-do for foodies visiting “the city of Michelin stars,” keen to eat their way through Hong Kong’s most celebrated kitchens. T’ang Court is the hotel’s crowning culinary masterpiece, a Three Michelin Star restaurant that reflects the classic timelessness of the Tang Dynasty, China’s golden age. It is only one of four Cantonese restaurants in the world to receive this accolade.

The restaurant’s decadent dining room is a perfect place to slowly celebrate in the early evening. Take the time to sip through a piping hot pot of tea as the chef’s tasting menu offers whimsical bite sized treats. With elbows gently resting on white tablecloth and chopsticks on the ready I devoured a parade of plates which perfectly showcased the state of contemporary Cantonese cuisine. Highlights included crunchy pan-fried rice flour rolls with classic Cantonese-style barbecue pork, soya kissed cod fillet with taro puffs, spicy wasabi stir fried Japanese Wagyu beef and a steaming bowl of scallop, avocado and ham flecked fried rice.
