City Winery Restaurant in New York City

New York’s culinary scene always turns heads as entrepreneurs here take risks and set the stage for food trends which are often adopted and tweaked by inspired foodies from Toronto to Tokyo. I simply adore everything about the City Winery concept, crafted for those who are passionate in sharing wine, music, and culinary arts.

The unique facility in SoHo, combines a fully functioning urban winery with intimate concerts, food & wine classes and fine dining. The City Winery team have created a compelling mix for a sophisticated clientele of foodies, and active cultural patrons—bringing the wine country experience to the middle of a bustling city.

Pop by for a tour of the winery in the late afternoon, sip a few glasses of vino at the intimate wine bar and spend the evening feasting on an Americana-inspired menu while watching your favourite band perform live in one of the most intimate (and tastiest) venues in NYC.

City Winery’s award-winning wine list features over 400 unique producers from around the world, in addition to the more than 20 in-house produced wines with grapes sourced from vineyards in California, Oregon, Washington, Argentina and Chile.

I enjoyed lunch in the Barrel Room, a 40-seat tasting room and restaurant featuring 11 wines on tap – with no preservatives or sulfites, making it the freshest, eco-friendly wine in NYC. Highlights from Chef Mike Jeanty’s menu include vegan-friendly Chickpea Crusted Avocado, Buffalo Mozzarella topped pizza, crispy Buttermilk Fried Chicken with smoky creamed corn and decadent S’Mores bowl featuring homemade graham crackers, marshmallow and nutella gelato.
