The Eagle Pub in Brighton

A stone’s throw from the hustle and bustle of the North Laines, The Eagle is one of Brighton’s hidden treasures. A laid back, homely little hub of friendliness with a knockout menu filled with hearty fresh food, great ales and plenty of jolly banter. With a welcoming charm of your favourite village pub and a precious gem of a sun-trap outside to boot, The Eagle has become one of the North Laines favourite pubs.

The saying goes, “in Britain the pub acts as the local communities living room,” and as I walk towards The Eagle Pub I can’t help but smirk as a crowd of friends spill onto the street clutching sudsy pints. Stepping into the restaurants warm interior I immediately spot a black lab whose adorable eyes stare up at me, tail wagging onto the hardwood floor with a soft knock. The dinning room features a petite bar, and comfy seating surrounded by vintage British beer posters, quirky framed prints created by local artists and the soft glow of overhead lamps. On a Saturday morning the space is packed, clearly the place to catch up with friends while fighting last nights bar hopping induced hangover.
