Review: Indian Rice Factory, Toronto

I recently visited the beautiful sun drenched patio of Toronto’s Indian Rice Factory with my friends Vanessa, Sharlene and Lucky. The restaurant is located up on Dupont Street and has been serving authentic Indian cuisine since 1970. The four of us spent one lovely evening feasting through their extensive menu which had been ingeniously paired with sake. An unusual compliment to spicy Indian food (don’t we all chase our curry with beer?) but a revealing lesson in how Indian cuisine and Japanese liquor can truly liven the senses. The Chef has a real talent in the kitchen and sources many of the menus products straight from India. It was clear as each dish arrived at our table that the highest quality ingredients are used with great love and care. I enjoyed the excellent service, romantic ambiance and stellar food so much that it is now featured on my Toronto’s Top Restaurant List.
