Review: Te Aro Roasted, Toronto

I recently met up with my friends Troy and Mike at Te Aro Roasted, a cafe in the East End on Queen Street which has become somewhat of an institution. Clearly the watering hole of choice, the place was packed with every demographic: gays, yuppies, grandparents, young families and pets. Mike grabbed one of the last spots on the patio while Troy and I hopped in line. Troy was raving about his craving for their famous salted caramel cookies. When he found out they had sold out he was bitter like 90% dark chocolate (eek). I ordered a foamy latte with a chocolate peanut butter bar and chewy oatmeal chocolate chip. Mike ordered an espresso with chocolate brownie.

#228 restaurant reviewed in Ontario since moving to Toronto in 2010.

I wish @Reado was home… then I would kidnap him and we would go for a bike ride out for salted caramel cookies and espresso. Do you have a favorite sweet? Chocolate or Salted Caramel or other?
