I think I may just have experienced the last quintessential perfect Saturday Summer brunch this past weekend. The city was still warm as the sun was shooting through the vibrant green tree foliage it seemed as though the blue from the sky smiled back at me. I met up with my favorite brunch buddy Arlene for an excursion to East End favorite Edward Levesque’s Kitchen.
The restaurant is doing a great service to the residents of Leslieville as it celebrates the seasons on its menu throughout the year. Each month a new list of new culinary creations are launched on the website and even the canning jars at the entrance are evidence of this principal of eating local, fresh produce.
Everything on the menu was fantastic. The French toast had a caramelized flavor to it. Must order the latkes and scones! They are the perfect way to start the morning. Nibble here, nibble there, banter, banter, smile.
