Review: Le Gourmand, Toronto

Le Gourmand sits at Richmond and Spadina in the heart of Toronto’s Fashion District. This little French style cafe and patisserie is a favourite of many who live and work in the area. Famous for their massive, ooey, gooey cookies and other baked goods, be sure to arrive early as cookies sell out before noon. I was actually able to grab the last three cookies available and when the line up behind me heard they were now sold out I heard a loud groan and clutched my bakers box tightly in fear someone may try to swipe them from me. I also picked up a Portuguese Egg Tarts, and a German custard filled donut. Fat Store Heaven.

  1. One of my favourite places in the city to meet friends or business associates for a quick lunch, coffee or just to indulge on one of their famous cookies! Although the cookies are a soft spot for me there are plenty of healthy choices on the menu that rock just as hard!
