Review: Eden Trattoria, Toronto

Krombacher held a spectacular Beer and Food Tasting at Eden Trattoria last night. I was invited as a special guest to sample of their well thought out pairings so was very excited to hop on the Queen Streetcar and travel farther west than Roncesvalles (uncharted territory). The restaurant is located right on Lake Ontario across from Humber Bay Shores Park. In the summer they are the place to be for patio brunching and late afternoon beer and wine quaffing as the sun sets across the skyline are exemplary in this newly developed condo-village.

I was greeted with a welcome Mimosa made of Krombacher Weizen and Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice. Christie, Krombacher’s beer expert walked guests through each beer and it’s featured cheese and food pairing throughout the evening. After several glasses of Germany’s best brew I stumbled out of the restaurant, bowed to the glow of the El Toro skyline and hopped back on the streetcar bound for the heart of this great city.
