I finally made time for Nyood. This Queen West restaurant fixture had been on my radar but hadn’t found the time to slot myself in for a reservation. I met the always jovial Meaghan Lamb after work on a cold February Wednesday night to check out the space. You simply must love the chandeliers, open concept “in your face” kitchen, and the plethora of cubby holes lining the left side of the dining room. Service was great, the cocktails were well crafted and all of our dishes were served promptly (in fact all at once!) I really enjoyed the crunch of the eggplant apps and Meaghan was happy to indulge in a bit of cream which was spotlighted in our pasta dish. When the short ribs were placed in front of me the sweet smell wafted through my nostrils and reminded me of freshly made candy. The menu offers plenty of seafood options as well. It’s nice to be Nyood.
