Review: Pho Asia 21, Toronto

At King and Dufferin sits this ever so stereotypical cutesy Southeast Asian restaurant, with a non-descript sign over the front door reading Pho Asia 21 and a large neon bubble tea sign sharing the spotlight with the McDonald’s across the street. The interior is classic corny Asia: a long row of plastic sunflower plants, plastic Buddha’s and neon illumination. The menu is extensive and mostly features Vietnamese specialties such as Pho noodle soup, pork cutlet and the ever exciting spring roll. The staff are super friendly, speak excellent English and prices are cheap and cheerful.

We ordered:

Ice blended coconut tapioca bubble tea

Chicken and Vegetable Spring Rolls

Pad Thai

Grilled pork chop, shredded pork with fried egg and rice with hoisen

Rare beef and beef balls noodle soup

#117 restaurant reviewed in Ontario since moving to Toronto in 2010.
