Review: Harlem Restaurant, Toronto

It had been over a year since Chloe and I had met at TIFF and promised to meet for dinner. With a little bit of coordination and determination on both of our parts I was able to plan a great night out.  Located at 67 Richmond Street West, Harlem offers up Toronto’s best African American “down south” favorites. My buddy Randy works here and I was ever so pleased that he was in the house when we popped by. Excellent service, wild and wonderful decorum…fully stuffed and satisfied.

We enjoyed:

Catfish Lafayette – seasoned deep fried morsels in hot sauce.

Pork Hocks with collared greens.

Chicken and Waffles – chipolte-corriander-lime maple syrup served with gravey and spicy honey garlic plum sauce.

Mac n’ Cheese

#111 restaurant reviewed in Ontario since moving to Toronto in 2010.
