I had been meaning to visit Bonjour Brioche in Toronto’s Leslieville hood for ages but just hadn’t had the will power to wake up early for a proper brunch. Seeing that it was Thanksgiving weekend and Sarah Topa was visiting and sleeping over on Friday night I knew I wasn’t going to cranking it up all night in the dance hall. I organized a lovely brunch with a few friends at this popular eatery (be warned on a weekend for brunch you should expect to wait in line for a table, this place is popular…and rightfully so!) This little French Bakery and Cafe makes amazing baguettes, croissants, brioche and dainty little tarts.
We ordered the following:
Freshly squeezed pumpkin and pear juice
Fig and caramelized onion blue cheese quiche
Spicy bacon, tomato, avocado and cajon majo sandwich
Poached eggs with smoked salmon and hollandaise
chocolate croissant, lemon raspberry brioche, cranberry and hazelnut biscotti
Tarts: lemon, chocolate caramel, pecan
#107 restaurant reviewed in Ontario since moving to Toronto in 2010.
