Review: Sweet Flour Bake Shop, Toronto

Sweet Flour Bake Shop is a unique little cookie shop on Bloor Street at Windemere in Toronto’s Bloor West Village. Sweet Flour specializes in espresso based coffee beverages, muffin caps and yogurt parfaits. But the real reason everyone comes to this sweet spot is for its “Make it yourself” cookie concept.

Patrons choose from three dough’s (original, oatmeal and peanut butter). You can choose from a plethora of add in’s which are tossed about in a metal bowl before popped into a piping hot oven. After the cookie has baked it is placed on a frozen slab for quick cooling. You can then add spreads (icing enthusiasts cheer!)

We had three cookies:

Original Chocolate Chip

Original dough with macadamia nuts and toffee with chocolate ganache glaze

Peanut butter dough with snickers bars, dark chocolate chunks with maple glaze.

#95 restaurant reviewed in Ontario since moving to Toronto in 2010.

Sounds like “Just like Mom” , the gameshow. Did they give ketchup, relish or cheez whiz as options? 😛
