Review: Swan Restaurant, Toronto

On Queen Street West at Crawford Street (at the west corner of Trinity Bellwoods Park) sits one of Toronto’s favorite eateries. The Swan is a hipster joint that serves up amazable brunch, lunch and dinner.

I arrived with two cute little dogs tied to the lamp post outside the front door. The place was packed at 10am on a Saturday morning and was happy to get the last booth available. The small dining room (read cutesy) also features an antique bar top with stools so if you are a hungry loner you can chit chat with the lovely bartender/barista and waitresses.

I met up with Meaghan Lamb for a catch up gab fest and we both enjoyed our heaping plates of piping hot savory morning feast.

Huevos Rancheros

black bean tortilla, avocado salsa, sour cream, two eggs over easy, potatoes, roasted tomato and fresh fruit.

Hangtown Fry

Smoked Oyster and pancetta egg scramble with whole grain toast, potato and fresh fruit.

#88 restaurant reviewed in Ontario since moving to Toronto in 2010.
