Review: C’est What?, Toronto

In Toronto’s St Lawrence Market neighbourhood in the East End sits C’est What? a local favorite watering hole. Located in the cellar of a history century old building the pub serves up 35 craft brews on tap, fine whiskies, a VQA wine list and an ethno-clectic menu.

The space features comfy couch seating around a fire place, pool tables, board games and a TV Room. I was alarmed at how during the peak of the summer patio season the restaurant was bustling with local fans who prefer to sit in a basement than tan on the toasty intersection of Church and Front Streets.

We ordered a lamb burger with yam fries and chicken fingers with herbed fries and Dijon mayonnaise with honey which we washed down with a Muskoka Cream Ale and German Wheat Beer.

#84 restaurant reviewed in Ontario since moving to Toronto in 2010.
