Review: Oyster Boy, Toronto

The best oysters in Toronto can be found at Oyster Boy located on Queen Street West at Trinity Bellwoods Park. The restaurant also acts as the number one oyster wholesaler for all of the best restaurants in the city. Our enthusiastic waiter and oyster aficionado actually knew Luke from when they both worked in the restaurant industry in British Columbia. Apparently this guy is king of the oyster and has won international oyster shucking competitions many times over. He treated us with much grace and educated the table about all of the restaurants best offerings.

We ordered a few glasses of beer and plenty of oyster dishes (both raw and deep fried) as well as a steaming bowl of clam chowder, fish cakes and an amazing plate of potato latkes with smoked salmon and creme fraiche.  If you love mollusks and all things that taste of brine that can be slurped and lip smacked head to Oyster Boy.

#73 restaurant reviewed in Ontario since moving to Toronto in 2010.
