Review: The Beaver, Toronto

On Queen Street West at Gladstone Avenue sits the Queerest Cafe and Bar in Toronto’s West End, The Beaver. Androgyny abounds at this gay  friendly hang out which serves up weekend brunch and daily lunch and dinners. Evenings are famous for their unique dance parties which I have enjoyed many a time.I met a lovely new friends Sarah Miller for a drink after work and nibbled on three plates of cheerful and queerful treats

Antipasto Plate

Calabrese salami, prosciutto, provolone & herbed bocconcini, grilled zucchini, peppers, & spiced olives w/grilled bread, olive oil & balsamic vinegar.

Baked Mac & Cheese

Smoked Chicken & Apple Quesadilla

grilled with black olives & tomato salsa w/ sour cream.

#55 restaurant reviewed in Ontario since moving to Toronto in 2010.
