63. Mothers Dumplings

30 Mar

Toronto’s favorite Chinese dumpling emporium has moved from its hard to find Huron Street hovel to a spacious and clean cut new location on Spadina at College. After a long day of arduous work there is nothing better than satiation through steaming treats wrapped in glistening dough! I would certainly go back for the pancake and juicy bun. The won ton soup was blah as the broth was bland and adorned with seaweed which made me feel as though I had been forced to lick a mingin’ rock.

62. Gio Ranna’s Really Really Good Restaurant (The Nose)

29 Mar

In the east end on Queen at Leslie Street sits one of the cities most loved neighborhood eateries. The restaurant is often referred to as “The Nose” due to the large paper mache nose that hangs above the front entrance. The staff here are a delight. The space has a great local vibe to it and the music is vintage oldies. The food is “Mamma’s Italian,” and is a relatively cheap eat. I took my dearest room mate Erica out here for her birthday dinner and we had a blast!
