Review: Hoof Cafe, Toronto

The recently opened, cozy spaced Hoof Cafe (directly across the street from the famous Black Hoof Restaurant) is a delicious spot to eat Brunch on a sunny Sunday morning. Located in the heart of Little Portugal on Dundas in between Ossington and Bathurst I couldn’t help but think how lucky the owners of the Black Hoof were to be able to open up a cafe directly across the street! Both restaurants are famous for their meat heavy dishes. Expect Froie Gras paired with your French Toast and your Grilled Cheese Sandwich generously filled with sauteed beef tongue.

We gobbled up a few of the items on the menu whilst sitting at the bar top (be warned this space is small so get here early for brunch if you want to sit at a proper table). We then spent the rest of the day walking about the city as we could tell Toronto was booming for Spring with few “I Love You”s sent out to the Winter.

#49 restaurant reviewed in Ontario since moving to Toronto in 2010.
