In the heart of Toronto’s Roncesvalles Village sits the most authentic Polish restaurant in the city. Cafe Polenz is a cute little restaurant serving reasonably priced and authentic Polish cuisine.
We were given a complimentary basket of Polish Rye which we ate alongside a hot bowl of Goulash. I was awed by a massive plate of freshly made potato and cheddar cheese perogies and quickly dug into a little cup of sour cream and another made of honey, caramelized onions and crackling. Our Hungarian potato pancake stuffed with beef goulash arrived at the table with traditional pickled salads and steamed vegetables. We waddled out of there stuffed beyond belief!
